The Diaspora Project is an original cultural engagement initiative and a brand new content platform using art, culture, political education to elevate urban APIA diasporic communities in conversations on race, solidarity and belonging. At its core, the initiative and platform are interested in telling the stories, advancing Asian American liberation, racial and social justice, and sharing the vibrant contributions and experiences of urban APIAs.

In addition to fresh content, The Diaspora Project is launching with a series of events including public discussions, film screenings, hip hop, graffiti, street art, literature, food, spoken word, curated art shows, live painting events, music, dj-ing, emcee-ing and other urban cultural events.

The Diaspora Project is currently seeking interns, volunteers and sponsors for a wide range of needs. Contact for more information and to find out how to get involved.

The launch of The Diaspora Project is made possible with the generous support of a grant from the Asian Women’s Giving Circle and the fiscal sponsorship of Mekong NYC.
